Sandra is ESG Executive Adviser at MIRAIT ONE Corporation, parent group company of Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd. where she served as Chairperson and CEO from 2013 to March 2025. Sandra co-founded Japan Asia Holdings Limited in 1996 and served as President and CEO of several key group companies prior to 2013.
Sandra was Chair of UN Office of Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR)'s private sector stakeholder group from 2013 to 2015 and board member of its private sector initiative ARISE from 2015 to 2020. She also served as a member of the Advisory Committee on National Resilience (Disaster Reduction and Mitigation) to the Cabinet Secretariat of Japan from 2019 to 2023.
She served as a member of the United Nations Global Compact Board from 2018 to 2024, and, with the World Economic Forum, as a member of the Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders, and as Co-Chair of the Infrastructure and Urban Development Industry Group in 2017.
