Shahamin S. Zaman is an economist with 25 years of development sector experience in international organizations including Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID), Ashoka Foundation, Canadian International Development Agency, Actionaid International, UNDP, DFID and others across a wide range of sectors including private sector development, agriculture, gender, health & population and education. She has also led teams on fundraising, partnership development, international communications, resource mobilization, child sponsorship and research monitoring and evaluation. She has been engaged as a Sustainability expert at regional and national levels.

She has extensive experience in mobilizing private sector engagement, multistakeholder dialogues and policy advocacy with donors, NGOs, INGOs. CSOs, private sector and Government.

As Executive Director of the Global Compact Network Bangladesh, she currently serves as the Chair a.i APAC Regional Network Council of the UN Global Compact.

Ms. Zaman has served on a number of international boards and working committees including the Board of the UN Working Committee for Labour & Human Rights; Member of the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) Regional Steering Committee for South & Central Asia led by UN Secretary General, Member of Solidaridad International Supervisory Board (ISB), Chair of Solidaridad Continental Supervisory Board (CSB) Asia, Multi- Stakeholder Advisory Board Member of GRI South & SE Asia, former Chair of amfori Stakeholder Advisory Council, Member of SAI Advisory Board and Member of the Board of Governors of UCEP(Underprivileged Children’s Education Program) Bangladesh and Board Member of CAMPE – Campaign for Popular Education in Bangladesh in the sphere of informal education.
