Chathuri is the Director / Chief Executive Officer of AIA Insurance Lanka Limited. She has over 22 years of leadership experience and was the Company’s Chief Operations Officer prior to her current function. She is the first Sri Lankan CEO appointed by AIA Group Hong Kong for Sri Lanka and is also the Company’s first female CEO. She is an Attorney-at-Law with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in law and holds, an International Diploma in Compliance from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

Chathuri was the winner of the 2024 Women in Insurance Award, by The Geneva Association Switzerland: making her the first and only Sri Lankan to receive this award. On the homefront, she was honoured with the Vanithabhimana Award 2025 in the Corporate and Professional sector and also was named a distinguished award winner at the Global CEO Top Businesswomen Awards 2025, hosted by the Global CEO Forum.
