Chanyoo Kim is an ESG Client Engagement Senior Specialist at S&P Global Energy Horizons Sustainable1, where he works with asset owners, asset managers, banks, and corporates across Asia-Pacific, with a particular focus on Australia, Japan, and South Korea. In this role, he helps financial institutions and corporates integrate ESG, climate, and nature-related data into investment analysis, risk management, reporting, and business strategy.

Chanyoo works closely with clients to help them understand and apply S&P Global's sustainability datasets and methodologies, including ESG Scores, Trucost environmental data, and climate risk analytics. His work entails supporting clients in understanding data methodologies, use cases, and regulatory relevance, particularly as sustainability information becomes increasingly integrated into capital market analysis and corporate disclosure.

He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences, client briefings, webinars, and other events, covering topics such as supply chain sustainability, sustainable finance, climate transition and physical risk, financed emissions, and the role of sustainability data in capital market decision-making. Through these engagements, he explores how sustainability data and methodologies can enable practical decision-making across financial institutions and corporates.

Prior to joining S&P Global Sustainable1 in 2022, Chanyoo worked at EcoVadis as a Sustainability Analyst, where he assessed the sustainability performance of more than 10,000 companies worldwide. He also served as a Solutions Consultant, identifying client challenges and requirements for sustainability integration.

Chanyoo holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Meiji University in Japan.
