Selyna Peiris (Attorney-at-Law) is a lawyer, social entrepreneur, and policy specialist redefining ethical business in Sri Lanka and beyond. As Director & Chief Growth Officer of the Selyn Group - one of Sri Lanka’s largest Fair Trade social impact enterprises - she blends heritage and innovation to drive sustainable growth, women’s empowerment, and inclusive value chains.
Most recently, she has led the Group’s strategic diversification by founding Femme-Care Pvt Ltd, a women-led enterprise delivering climate-friendly, reusable menstrual solutions that address period poverty while reducing environmental impact. Through the Selyn Foundation, she also co-founded the #BleedGood movement, advancing menstrual equity through education, advocacy, and systems change.
Selyna began her career in the development sector, working with international organizations including the United Nations and the Government of Sri Lanka. She continues to serve in advisory roles across government, multilateral agencies, and private-sector bodies, and furthers her policy engagement as Co-Founding Partner of Positive Impact Consultancy and The Institute for Future Creations.
A Stanford Seed changemaker, TEDx alumna, and Global Board Director of the World Fair Trade Organization, she also chairs the Entrepreneurship & SME Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. In 2024, she was recognized as Most Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year by the Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Across craft workshops, boardrooms, and policy arenas, Selyna champions women’s economic empowerment, climate resilience, and systemic transformation - amplifying a distinctly Sri Lankan voice on the global stage.
