Mabrur M. Chowdhury is a sustainability, responsible business, and governance professional with 10 years of experience in programme leadership, private-sector engagement, research, capacity building, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. As Programme Manager at the UN Global Compact Network Bangladesh, he leads strategic programmes and partnerships across corporate sustainability, business and human rights, ESG, climate action, and anti-corruption collective action.
Throughout his career, Mr. Chowdhury has worked across diverse industries and institutional settings, engaging businesses, government agencies, development partners, industry associations, and academic institutions. His expertise lies in translating global sustainability principles and responsible business frameworks into practical, locally relevant strategies, programmes, and institutional actions.

His work includes designing and managing private-sector integrity initiatives, advancing responsible business practices, strengthening the ESG and sustainability capacity of enterprises and SMEs, conducting research on corporate governance and integrity, and convening stakeholders around complex economic, social, and environmental challenges. He is also an experienced speaker, trainer, facilitator, and moderator, having engaged corporate leaders, professionals, policymakers, academics, and students on sustainability, integrity, ESG, and business and human rights.

Mr. Chowdhury holds an MBA in Marketing and a double major in Economics and Computer Science. His multidisciplinary background enables him to approach sustainability challenges through strategic, commercial, technological, and socioeconomic perspectives. He is a strong advocate of collective action and believes that meaningful, sustainable impact is created by aligning diverse stakeholders around shared priorities for the benefit of people, businesses, communities, and the environment.
