As Group Head of Sustainability at AIA, Amita Chaudhury spearheads the integration of sustainability into business strategy, operations and culture for Asia’s largest health and life insurer. Amita serves as Chair of the Board of the UNEP FI Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI), supporting global industry alignment on climate action, sustainable insurance and financial inclusion. She is also an Executive Committee Member of the Singapore Sustainable Finance Association.
Amita’s leadership experience spans over 25 years, across the consumer goods and financial services sectors. Prior to joining AIA, Amita held senior leadership roles across Brands, Diversity & Inclusion, and Sustainability at Unilever, and Colgate-Palmolive, in Asia-Pacific and Europe.
She has extensive experience in leading complex business transformations that align boards and business leaders around a common led vision and strategy, co-creating solutions with diverse community of stakeholders and engaging in strategic partnerships with government and industry bodies to deliver tangible business and societal impact.
Amita regularly shares her insights through international forums and prominent media platforms, on topics such as climate resilience, sustainability strategy and responsible AI and has been recognised by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development as a Leading Woman in Sustainability. She is also featured Tatler Asia as a role model for the next generation.
