Anushika (Anu) Amarasinghe serves as the National Programme Analyst for Partnerships & Advocacy at UNFPA Sri Lanka. In this role, she drives the long-term sustainability and reach of UNFPA’s country programmes by building strategic, technical partnerships with development partners, civil society, the private sector, and International Financial Institutions (IFIs).

A lawyer by profession, Anu holds both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Colombo, specializing in Women and Children’s Rights. She is also an active member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka.

Anu brings a wealth of cross-sectoral expertise to her work, with 25 years of experience in the development field and five years of earlier experience in the corporate sector. Prior to joining UNFPAs, she collaborated with various prominent development and humanitarian agencies, including establishing the national chapter of Transparency International in Sri Lanka, where she last served as the Chairperson of the Orgainzation's Board of Governance. Throughout her career, Anu has developed and applied extensive technical expertise in organizational development, strategic planning, resource mobilization, governance, and monitoring and evaluation.

Driven by a commitment to human rights and passion for working with women and children, Anu leverages her legal background, strategic acumen, and collaborative approach to foster meaningful multi-stakeholder partnerships that advance gender equality, social protection, and rights-based development across Sri Lanka.
