Mr. Basanta Pandey is the Chief Financial Officer of Fonepay Payment Service Ltd., the leading Payment System Operator licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank (the Central Bank of Nepal), and a flagship company of the F1Soft Group, Nepal's largest fintech ecosystem. He also currently serves as the President of Futured Club, the Group's ESG initiative.

With over 16 years of leadership experience spanning finance, governance, enterprise risk management, digital transformation, and technology-enabled financial services, Mr. Pandey has played a pivotal role in strengthening Nepal's digital financial infrastructure and advancing financial inclusion through trusted and interoperable payment ecosystems.

As President of Futured Club, he is also driving the integration of ESG principles into business strategy and corporate governance, with a strong focus on sustainability reporting, responsible innovation, and long-term value creation.

His work sits at the convergence of finance, technology, governance, and sustainability, demonstrating how trusted digital ecosystems, sound governance, and strategic partnerships can expand economic opportunity, strengthen business resilience, and accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Mr. Pandey is a strong advocate for developing future-ready finance professionals. He has contributed to ACCA education and professional development for more than a decade through teaching, mentoring, and professional engagement. In 2023, he became the first Nepali recipient of the ACCA Global Advocacy Award, recognizing his outstanding contribution to advancing the accounting profession and promoting sustainable business leadership.
