Priyanka Wijayaratne is the Chief Sustainability Officer of Hatton National Bank PLC (HNB), one of Sri Lanka's leading private sector banks. With over 25 years of experience in banking, she leads the Bank's sustainability agenda, driving responsible finance, climate action, financial inclusion, and sustainable value creation.
In her previous role as the Chief Strategy Officer of HNB, Priyanka has been instrumental in mobilising nearly USD 300 million in funding from international development finance institutions to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth. She also played a leading role in the issuance of Sri Lanka's first sustainability bond of Rs 10Bn, by a licensed commercial bank, helping expand access to capital for environmental and social impact initiatives.

She is a strong advocate for leveraging the financial sector to channel capital towards climate resilience, inclusive growth, and economic empowerment, while fostering partnerships that accelerate sustainable development.
